Blount, Jackson, DeKalb County rental and housing assistance.

Small dollar amounts of rental assistance is available in the region. Tenants facing eviction and the homeless of Blount, Jackson, or De Kalb County are some of the main recipients of these programs. Not only may there may a grant for helping with housing costs (such as back rent or a security deposit), but many of the charities also operate centers that provide free appliances or furniture.

Most of the agencies that have funds only help residents in their county. So the rent programs listed below are local in nature. However they often receive funding from the federal government (such as HUD) or the United Way. So therefore many local and national housing programs are used to stop homelessness and rehouse individuals.

However even if an organizations can't assist, they may have referrals to other regional De Kalb or Blount County services. This will help ensure some form of short term rent assistance is given to each qualified family.
