Free food, Christmas toys, school supplies, and emergency financial aid from the Salvation Army in Cartersville Georgia helps low income families throughout Bartow County. The Christian, faith based church offers Family Services as well as basic needs to the poor, disadvantaged, and needy. The Cartersville Salvation Army also runs Project Share, a utility bill assistance program, for the county.

For those who qualify for everything from rent or energy bill help to food, the resources are very limited. There is often a waiting list, and the Salvation Army will give priority to assisting individuals in a crisis. They also support those with the ability and willingness to help themselves.
