Anoka County free food pantries.

A combination of food pantries and soup kitchens in Anoka County can be turned to in an emergency. The centers, most of which are run by non-profit organizations or charities, provide boxes of groceries or a hot meal. The items passed out may be soup, rice, beans, free baby formula, and more. Many Anoka County pantries also provide clothing or school supplies as well as Christmas meals.

So the items provided by each pantry will vary and are wide ranging. When seeking help from a food shelve, people should bring proof of income as well as ID for all members of the households. The exact amount of assistance will depend on the number of household members and other factors.

Another key resource offered by the pantries will be home delivered meals for seniors or seasonal support. That may be a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, or maybe a snack for a child. So the programs offered by the Anoka pantries will vary throughout the year.
