Amarillo area free food pantries.

Emergency food pantries in the Amarillo as well as Potter County region provide support to low income families. Assistance is for a wide variety of individuals, ranging from the working poor to seniors, disabled, and immigrants. The non-profit pantries near you will pass out free groceries when possible. Or the food banks can refer the applicant to other programs in Randall or Potter County Texas.

The resources, as well as hours, of each pantry are limited. There is also a toll free referral number at the bottom of the page for more locations. Most rely on donations as well as volunteers to keep their operations running. So while the Amarillo food banks will try to not turn anyone away, there are instances in which this may occur. Some of the other assistance in the region ranges from free Christmas meals to clothing, school supplies, or even applications to SNAP food stamps.
