Since you're in Jersey City and like said also working right now which should help, may start with Hudson County Housing Resource Center (201-795-5615) and ask about homelessness prevention from the state or county or security deposit assistance. There also also pantries and other options you can use a little to free up your other funds. Also call Garden State Episcopal Community Development Corporation (201-604-2600) as they have helped people I know in the area with rental assistance and housing in Hudson County. Also for the utility help try LIHEAP or those other energy programs in Jersey, but at end of day since you got a job much better.
Since you're on Medicaid and working part-time, also ask the Hudson County Board of Social Services at 201-420-3000 or see this site https://www.hcnj.us/family-services/welfare/ and if you qualify for Emergency Assistance

I need some kind of financial assistance to help me pay my rent, utilities, gas for the house and car. I was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and I am not able to work and I am taking care of my daughter who is not able to work due to mental disabilities. And we need help paying our bills. Even when I was working we were having trouble paying the bills and I tried to get help from other government programs in Jersey City and they told me they would give me $160 to pay rent but my land lord has to agree to take only $160 for rent and my rent is $850.

I have been in the hospital. I have been unemployed and not able to pay my rent or light bill. I was trying to find some assistance on it is about to get disconnected. I do have Home Care in my home at the time and I am disabled but I don't get disability and I have small children in the home I rent. Hopefully someone can help me thank you

While that is great you are looking out for your son, why can't he apply? And do the searching? Good Morning,
I am emailing inquiring about financial assistance for my son who has been impacted by a sickness.
My son lives in Jersey City NJ and this past November had to apply for assistance. He has completed and submitted applications for both the Emergency Rental Assistance and LIHEAP program.
He has been calling and emailing continuously about the status of his applications but no funding from either program has yet to come through to cover his bills.
Today, right now, he is in need of assistance for his upcoming rent and bills which are due in 2 days. Will you please inform which direction we may proceed in Jersey City NJ ensure he receives financial assistance to cover all of his upcoming bills.
I have carbon copied him on this email as well.
