Are you in California? As you mentioned Kaiser. If so, there are programs that may help you in August or other months for that matter, and look here for immediate rent assistance in CA.

I have two disabled children and unfortunately lost my job July 31. I have been actively looking for a job but desperately need help paying my rent. How can I get help with August past rent which is past due?

I am checking to see if you help with a one time rental assistance. The eviction was given last Monday and the court date is Tuesday, if the August rent and fees aren’t paid by then. I have half of it but can’t seem to come up with the other part. I am hoping you could help. I have called so many places and none of them have the funds for rent assistance.

Hi, my name is Stephanie. About two and a half weeks ago, my ex-boyfriend kicked me out with nothing but some of my stuff, an unsafe vehicle and a little money. I barely had enough for one night at a motel, and now I need rent help for August. The rest was used for gas and some food. I've been able to stay with family since, but it's not a long term solution. He also agreed to splitting custody of our daughter 50/50 and I get her every other week.
The problem is I can't continue to stay with my mom when I have my daughter because she has a roommate who had said I could stay but not indefinitely. I also haven't been able to work in a few years due to medical issues and then my pregnancy, then taking care of my daughter while my ex-boyfriend worked and supported us, so I have no money to even try to get a place on my own. Is there any way you guys could help me get into a place and maybe help find me a work-from-home job so on the weeks I have my daughter, I don't have to put her in day care, considering that is pretty expensive as well. If you could please get back to me soon for August rent assistance, either by email or phone call, that would be amazing.

My husband lost his job 3 weeks ago and he has been applying for jobs everyday but no one is calling. It's been disheartening to say the least and we've been in the same place for 15 years. We don't want to lose our home/apartment.

I wanted to inquire about receiving some assistance with paying next month's rent fir August.  I am currently going through financial hardship due to employment downsizing at my job Alorica in Fresno CA.
I have also missed time due to my illness and need to attend doctor apts. I have absolutely no way to pay my rent and the longer I wait to figure it out the fees get added and I am trying to avoid that best as possible considering my situation.  I would appreciate some information.

My husband and I have not been able to pay August rent as a result of him being out of work for 7 weeks. We have now received notice of eviction and need some assistance to get caught up until he begins receiving regular paychecks. He's been working  at Home Depot about 10 days now.
I work regularly at Publix grocery. I owe 1024.00 for August rent (this includes late fee and filing fee).

I am currently 2.5 months past due on my rent and going into 3 month at the start of next month, August. I was planning on paying towards my past due balance when my tire was slashed and my lights recently turned off. I still haven't been able to replace the damaged tire and I used my rent money to pay to turn back on the electricity. I am married and have 2 kids and am currently pregnant with my 3rd child. We got a little behind on bills since we suddenly had to move in May due to an A/C leak in our apartment that was causing mold. We had to come up with rent for the first month plus a large deposit and we are currently struggling as we had to move into an apartment that costs more than what we were currently living in. I know that if you would be able to help me out in August I should be able to get back on my feet and should not need help after that. My Son and daughters’ birthdays are coming up very soon and I have to do something for them the end of august, my truck payment is due and have not been able to meet that as well. My name is Mindy and I on disability my fiancé had lost his job and we couldn't pay for our August rent of 650$. We have tried all the churches in our county of Holmes Count , went to salvation army in Holmes county, many other organizations with no luck with help on our August rent. My fiancé is out daily putting applications in. I know he will find one very soon but our landlord is wanting us to get it caught up or will have to kick us out. We can afford our rent and bills just unfortunately my fiancé job was cleaning house as they call it and let people go without warning saying they didn't need them. Please if you can help be so much appreciated. My health is suffering more don't want to lose our home my fiancé worked so hard for us to get. Since August is tomorrow, you probably need rent help today. There are emergency programs as listed on our site. Both local as well as national agencies. You can try them for assistance.

I have had a lot of trouble getting a phone number that I can speak to someone, the phone number listed on the DHHS website is disconnected. Hello Again, I really need help paying my late August rent and the $50 late fee for a total of $600. The reason I cannot pay is SSDI cut my benefit down to $207, cut of $363.
I am a senior female disabled and no other resources so I have no way to recover from this unforeseen situation that should not have happened to me. I am needing rental assistance for the month of July and August. My rent is $1024 a month with late fees for the month of July and then August will be due. I have been a substitute teacher during the school year and have been unemployed since June when school let out for the summer.
