Try the Ways to Work car loan program for help. They generally assist those individuals that need a car for work, even if the applicant lives in a homeless shelter. While $2500 to fix a car is a lot (maybe you want to replace it), and spending that type of cash may be a horrible investment. But without knowing the details, we can't provide more advice.

Good afternoon,
I currently reside in Dover, NH and have been unemployed since October and have fallen behind on paying my car loan monthly payments. My loan bank informed me I must pay December's loan payment in full ASAP or my vehicle will be at risk for repossession.
Are there any loans or emergency financial assistance available to help avoid vehicle repossession? Please contact me with if there is such assistance and if so what I must do to see if I am eligible to receive it. I can be reached at this email address.

Who is your bank again? Chase? Did you call them to tell them of your hardship. Maybe they will agree to a repayment plan before they reposes it. Especially if you have been working two jobs, tell your lender that. As they may be more flexible. But it sounds like you have a lot of issues (car payment, granddaughter costs, apartment) etc. so you may want to get rid of the car and get a cheaper one...with no loan due. But here are some other suggestions for you on on help with chase car payments.

I have been separated for four years trying to make it on my own, it's been hard. I rented a room up until this past February when the people I rented from moved too far away from my job. Now I been working two jobs for the last 4 years, up until November 2014 when I fell at work and on top of that I was in a car accident in March of this year. And on top of all that, my daughter decides to take off in March and left her 8 year old daughter, my granddaughter, with me!
I do get workers comp and was able to make all my bills until I had to move and get an apartment for me and my granddaughter. Then my daughter gets angry with me and cancels her child support card. So it's been really hard. I want to be able to give my granddaughter everything she needs but lately it's just been a struggle. Is there any way possible you could help me with these two car payments so we don't lose our only means of transportation? Please let me know as soon as possible please. And thank you very much.

I am a 51 year old recently divorced mother and am behind on car payments and need money to fix it. I have worked at a minimum wage job for years. My ex-husband was the bread winner in the family. Now, all the bills are stuck with me. Well, to make a long story short, my car broke down and it is really a hardship to get it repaired on my income. I really need my car to continue working. I get no assistance from the government and I am okay with that. But can some organization aid me in getting my car fixed, please? I have called my local community in Claiborne Parish in Louisiana for help with the payment. I’ve called outside of the state and everyone tells me they do not service Louisiana. Is there anyone who can help me get this problem resolved? Sincerely,

Well, we have many programs listed for auto loans. Insurance is more difficult, as not to many charities or companies help there. You may need to stop driving, start the job, and then build up your savings so you can afford the transportation costs you have. So maybe try that for an idea. Here are other options for you too, and more car payment and insurance assistance.

Just thought I might ask out desperation (I'm a shy person).
I am a single mother of 2 and my transmission went out. My car is stuck at in Mandeville, LA until I pay $2500 to get it fixed. Since I lost my fiancé we have not been able to have any extra money. We are about to end up in a homeless shelter since I can't go to work. Please can you help.
I don't need any money, just seeing if you can put down anything on the bill, even if it's only $50. Aamco's phone number in Mandeville is 985-626-0996. I totally understand if you can't help but I figured not asking will not get me anywhere. I hope you get this.

There are really any programs that help with car payments, whether you are in Wyoming or some other state. The only two things that we recommend are looking into refinancing your auto loan with Chase and/or talking to a non-profit credit counselor for suggestions. As far as the car loan refinance from JP Morgan / Case, we have details on it here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ncing.html

I came across your site, while looking for Financial Assistance. I am a 40 year old, single mom, I have fibromalygia and arthritis. I was terminated from my job after 5 years with the same company in December 2013.
I have since that time been searching for employment. I withdrew all money I had in a retirement to pay my bills because I had been denied my unemployment income (I did win my appeal and began receiving unemployment in December 2013 in the amount of $266 per week), however, my auto loan is now past due, I have my auto taxes due, and my insurance.
My daughter's father helps all he can by paying our rent, but now that my SNAP benefits have been cut, and I still have no job, I do not know how I am going to keep my car, and pay the expenses. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Good afternoon, I moved to Harris County Texas in November of this year and while trying to separate from my husband he took my car to New Orleans and has since caused my payments to be almost 90 days behind. He is now in jail in Houston and I am going to retake possession of my vehicle but need assistance in catching up on payments so I can find a job. Please if there is anything you can do I would be grateful, thank you!

Hi, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor five and a half years ago. I go to treatment Proton Therapy and I have several doctors I get injections in the back of my head as well I have been trying to get help in between treatments. I stay in my car in between. I cannot get financial assistance to help me pay some rent until I get by. I've applied for food stamps about 4 weeks ago and I have not been able to get that as of yet.
I have a dollar to my name. I've even written the governor in reference to my car as I have a car payment I cannot afford. I had my car before I was diagnosed with this monster tumor. I even written the governor about my car payment as it is outrageous dollar amount a month because my car payment is 475 .00 dollars a month. I also need to pay the insurance. His response was to find me Legal aide which was great but all they did was look over the paperwork and tell me there was nothing that they can do and still no results.
I am on disability and my checks is only $932. I am blessed don't get me wrong but $104.00 comes out for Medicare and $475 comes out for car payment. Then I have insurance for the car not to mention taxes and then medications. I need some serious help. I'm really leaning out there if someone could please guide me. I'm about ready to be evicted.

I am working full time and need someone willing to help pay some of the rent and my car costs. Its hard now that I have a child on the way and I’m still living with my foster parents. I am paying for health insurance, car insurance and a car payment and its all becoming to much and I was wondering if I could get some kind of help please. If I’m not able to I understand others need it more than I do. Thank you.

Hi. I am writing on behalf of me and my husband. We are a family of five. We have three children a 10 year old son and 6 year old twin boys. We fell into financial hardship this month and I was hoping someone could help us. We are behind on our light and heating bill which is in shutoff status. We are late on our rent and car payment. My husband currently works as a Family Service Counselor with a Cemetery and I am a stay at home mom. We are a very loving and hardworking family we just fell a little short this month. We would appreciate if someone could help us get back on our feet. Thank you for your time.

I am 22 years old. I've got shot when I was 19 years old. It's very hard for me to work because of that. I haven't finished school because I've been homeless ever since I've got shot. I've lost confidence on doing anything. I'm in Phoenix Arizona. Please contact me ASAP. I was stupid and got a vehicle & now I can't afford it. No job I've been looking for assistance on getting an apartment. I'm lonely, need help. Please. I need somebody to give me the chance to live my life & finish school before I turn 25 and then it's too late. I'm writing off wifi that I'm receiving from somebody in the area. So if I don't respond it's because I don't have Internet access. Ill attempt to check my email everyday.

I fell a little behind on car insurance $200 and car payment $200 and my car has those little machines that shuts your car off after one month of no payment. I am in College and really need my car to be able to get to school & get to modeling work when called to audition. I've gotten several paying modeling jobs in a couple months. It is all bad timing at the moment. I don't have my parents to help me. I am alone. I hope I can find help.

I'm contacting you today for assistance with our situations. Me my fiancé and our 7 year old daughter was forced to move from a bad area in Phoenix Arizona, because of the violence gun shots and things that were going on. We found a house in California, to get a better opportunity in living and find good paying jobs. We were able to pay half on security deposit, and put down deposits for gas and electric and paid the pro ration for the rest of the month which was $392.00. With the moving expenses, we are left with little to nothing, we are late on a car payment which is $430.00 monthly, we have to have the rest of security deposit which is $400.00 along with the first months rent of $850.00 which will be due on Dec1st 2012 with a 3 day grace period. We can't afford to lose our car as then we have no way to get to work. If you can assist us, or can give us some referrals to the organizations that can assist us please contact us via e-mail and by phone.
