Loan for paying rent

Post by Cambridge1 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 11:42 am

I am in need of help with paying my rent. I think I am out of options so I guess the only alternative is some type of loan. I am recently separated from my husband of 12 years due to his current mental state. I am a working mother, I have a 12 year old daughter and a 15 year old mentally handicap son who lives with me at a friends house. I have been having a difficult time making ends meet.
Since it is just my income we are relying on now which makes it impossible to save money for my rent and even a security deposit. I have looked into all the resources available in my city (Vallejo, CA.) and the only response I have been given is basically I am not considered eligible because I work! So I think my only option now is some sort of short term loan. I would have to be on welfare or have infant children and then apply for food stamps...it is not fair. Yes I work but I don’t make a lot, and I make too much to get food stamps! I am low income in a very desperate situation. Do you know of any programming that can help me? Thank you.

I need help with back rent. I lost my job and my only income was child support. However it stopped without any notice because of and over payment of what the father was paying. So now I need some type of emergency loan for my rent as I had no income in October 2013.
I had to apply for AFDC and they only give my $306.00 cash a month and it is only for my son. They won't give me any cash or a loan because they say I’ve exhausted their time limit so they only give me food stamps. I am behind in rent for October, November, and December because my last payment from child support in October was only $56.44. SO now I am in a crisis. My rent here is $274.00 because I have section 8 and I told section 8 about my situation and there going to adjust my rent but it doesn't start until January so please help if possible. Thank you.

You really never want to pay rent or security deposits with a loan. That just ends up getting people into trouble. What happens in almost all cases in people get into an endless cycle of taking out a new and/or bigger loan. Instead look into some alternatives. For example, maybe some non-profits or charities in your region have some funds that they can give you. If they do, it would only be a partial payment for your rent, but try multiple agencies and it may add up. Find more rent help.

I am currently living in a rental home in Bella Vista, CA. My landlord quit paying the mortgage and the home has been foreclosed/auctioned off. The new owner has been nice but my families time is almost up. Due to the foreclosure, I will not be getting my deposit returned. I am on unemployment and my fiance just got a new job last week. I need to find out who to contact for deposit loan programs. We are able to pay the program back.
Thank you,

Need temporary help to get caught up with rent. Due to a personal illness and our son being hospitalized we fell behind on our rent. We applied for a payday loan to help get us caught up, and in the process fell victim to fraud and had our money stolen (case reported to local authorities and the FBI) our landlord has made a payment arrangement with us, however we are unable to come up with the amount he has asked for. We are looking for a loan, grant or some type of help to keep us and our 3 children from being evicted.

We are about to get evicted, due to a roommate, our rent didn't get paid for about two months. Now we are facing eviction. We owe $1,120.50, and we have no way we can get that before the eviction process is up. None of our family can loan it to us, we work minimum wage to 8.95 an hour jobs, and we have no money in savings. This is our last shot for a loan.

Need help with our rent. We haven't been able to pay last months rent (July) & now we are in August. Please, we need help. It is just myself & my husband. We are both 56 years old & I am on Disability and my husband is self employed. Times are tough for a lot of people and I know those with children have 1st priority...no problem here with that...kids come 1st.
But it doesn't mean we don't need help too. Never have done this in requesting a loan, wish we didn't, but if there is something you can help us with please let me know. Thank you for any consideration in to this. Sincerely.

if you are two months behind on your rent, this makes it more challenging. There are some agencies in San Diego that may loan you the funds, but the interest rate may be high as your are high risk. Also, if someone is self-employed they are even more skeptical. But you can call around for applications or information, and here are some of the organizations for rent help in San Diego.

I am in need of rental/housing assistance. I am 46 and have been unemployed since December 2014. I have filed for SSDI but am still going through that process. I have been living in a shed in someone's backyard since May 2015. I was covered by Medicaid until May 2015 when my coverage was canceled because it was determined that I no longer qualify.
I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Scoliosis, and Degenerative disc disease, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was taking several medications but have not been able to see my doctor or obtain my medications since May. Please help me with a loan. You may respond via email. Thank you.

I am on disability and have 3 years of on time payments but my landlord has notified they will not renew my lease because I do not meet income requirements and need a co-signer that makes $4,400 per month. My lease ends on December 31 and section 8 has a 1-2 year wait list.
I don’t know how I am going to find housing, get a loan or pay for deposits even if I am able. I am on disability and limited income so I don’t meet the requirements for a loan. I get $905 per month but even the cheapest studio for 500 is still too much. I am also discriminated against on craigslist’s for -not being a student, for not having a job, and sometimes for being male, and sometimes for being disabled.

Hi, I was needing some information about getting help with my rent from a loan. I am a single working mom and in the last few months my income dropped dramatically which forced me to fall behind just so we had food and power and a car to get daughter to school and myself to work. I live in Mesa, Arizona and just want to get back on track. I truly hate asking for help and I am not on any kind of assistant programs, because up until a few months ago things were okay. If there is any kind of rent assistance that I could get just one time, I know I could get things turned back around and repay the loan. I work for tips and our place of business is just now coming into season with the snowbirds coming back. It’s finally picking up now unfortunately I was already behind, so now it feels like I'm still sinking because I can't get back on track. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.
Thank You,

If your income dropped drastically in the last few months, how would you repay a loan? Not sure how that is a solution. Regardless here are loans for rental assistance in Mesa. Since you asked, we will provide details.
