Anyone have a list of food programs in Houston?

People looking for general financial assistance.

Anyone have a list of food programs in Houston?

Post by ColdP »

Hi, my name is Tonia. I'm contacting your organization regarding possibly receiving help with paying for groceries or maybe your program for free food? I work full time in Houston but fell into a financial crisis, and have been trying to catch up on everything, unfortunately have not accomplished that. My bills are due on the 15th and I know I will not have the funds to pay for utilities but I will not be able to pay for food for me and my family. I'm extremely worried more so for my kids that will go hungry with food. We've lived in this house for almost 13 years. This is our home in Houston. If there is any help that might be available, we would greatly appreciate it more than you know.

I am writing this email with the hopes that you guys may be able to assist me. I read online that some companies help with giving out food and paying bills. My car is up for repo tomorrow and I can't make it to the pantry near me in Houston. Thought my unemployment was coming but yesterday got a call informing me it will be around 8 more weeks. Any help would be appreciated also need help with bills and food. And not sure if someone can help with delivery to me. Patiently waiting to hear from you.

Hi Tonia and the other post. Try this list of food programs here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ntrie.html

Some may offer Meals on Wheels to for the person that had their car repossessed. However those are normally for seniors, but there may be some other Houston charities that will deliver the food for a period of time.
