Hey, property tax help in Louisville (or anywhere) is not common but there are many programs that cover the area. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... e_pr8.html

Live in Louisville Jefferson County are struggling

Hello I am in the Louisville Jefferson county area. I have hit some extremely hard times since right before the pandemic. At one point I had squatters at the property on Kendall ln in which I had followed the state protocol in having them removed but due to state laws the people were not only allowed to stay on the property but live there rent free and destroying my property. They have also accumulated city fines in the amount of $2000 which I am currently working on a payment plan to pay off.
I am generally employed as an electrician helper doing commercial jobs thru skilled trades, due to the Trump tariffs and business uncertainty the jobs have halted and taken away most of my income and now I am struggling. I have applied for unemployment and have received award letter but not received a payment from when I applied in March. My current and most important time sensitive need is for help paying the property taxes so that my only property and only residents for myself and my family to live is not foreclosed on.
I have received notice that they are moving forward with the process and I would hate to lose my home due to a few thousand dollars back taxes. I have contacted everyone I can find information on for help. Due to me not having income until my job is reinstated I don't qualify for a loan or home equity line of credit because I have no income to repay it. I'm doing any odd jobs I can just to be able to survive. I am hoping that your agency can offer me some sort of assistance or direct me in the location of someone who could.
I have never been in the position to have to ask for help with any bills and I' don't see a way out of I don't find someone to help sooner than later. We will end up without a home and no where to go. Please get back with me when you can. Thanks for your time. Have a great day
