Hi,
Good for you for getting sober! $500 or so is not a lot of money, but you may need a job before someone will help you with the deposit. As a place will want to be sure you can afford future rent (among other things like staying sober). But try this for money for a deposit on housing near you.

Homeless post rehab and need money for housing

I am requesting any type of financial aid for myself and my 16 year old daughter. I just recently came out and graduated from an alcohol treatment rehab center yesterday and since then I have been homeless. I am hoping to inquire about assistance in getting off the streets and into a sober living facility.
However they run around 500.00 to 600.00 per month to get off the streets. I would only need help covering the first month since living there you must have a job. I do not have one at the moment but I do intend on getting one as soon as possible... I would be glad to be able to pay back for the help just as soon as I get on my feet post rehab and I really want to keep my sobriety for it means the world to me and my daughter...please help if you can. Thank you and God bless:
