Hi Tommy
Sorry the TV was a "lemon". That was great of you to make the effort for your homebound parents though. Maybe next time buy a used TV from a legit thrift store - as most like Goodwill and others would exchange it.
Also, a free TV is more rare to get, but try this for free household appliances for a family room. As many some furniture banks or similar places can dig up a TV for you.

Is it possible to get a free TV from a charity?

Hey there, my name is Tommy. I’m reaching out to see if there’s any help I can receive. I bought a TV for my homebound parents and the person that sold it to me wasn’t honest and sold me a tv that the screen is messed up. I’m looking for help repairing it or a new free one since I paid $100 bucks for it but I’m currently in school and not working. My mom is a sister and doesn’t make very much. We barely get by, my parents need a TV and would gladly appreciate it if you guys could help.
