Hi Donna,
There are some government programs that help first time buyers. Many are part of HUD or FHA. For example, FHA will often help wit financing and down payment, even for people with less than stellar credit. But look here for government home buying programs. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... grams.html

How to buy a home with low credit scores?

Hello my name is Donna and I have received this address off of the web. I'm in a desperate situation where I am trying to buy home of my own as I'm being evicted from the place that I lived out for 11 plus years. Now I want to take this chance to buy a house as I did a good job in fixing my low credit scores in the past.
The reason I was evicted has nothing to do with not paying rent. I was paying rent, it's because I had our well water tested by the DEP, and it was found positive for coliform and various other high levels of bacteria. This is another reason I want to buy my own home so not facing this stuff in the future.
I am on a month to month lease at which means at any given moment either party can terminate the lease for any given reason at all right down to doesn't want to rent out anymore. So I found myself in a place where I don't have a leg to stay on. I had been working with a credit repair agency for the past several months because I'm wanting to buy my own place to live and I have found several lower priced buildings that would be perfect for me. But I cannot with my credit situation, which is much better but still low, acquire alone right at the moment.
