Montana wasn't on the list???
I'm a full time single dad with an 11yr old, I lost my job on 9/3/2024 and unemployment does not come even close to paying the bills. My son goes to school 2 days a week and there are shortened days, so the other 3 day I'm his teacher. I can't work a full time job, be a teacher and a parent, that's just impossible. I'm currently in a contract for buying our mobile home (private seller). I'm really lost and stressing badly.
I'd appreciate any info on help.
Thanks in advance.
Bryan

Hi Jermone,
Government benefits do not matter whether it is a single father or mother. They are all income based, based on assets, need, etc. Even the fact you can't get unemployment benefits sounds odd....there most be more to that story. But as far as benefit programs, including for single fathers, that cover all states look here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tance.html

Hello, my name is Jerome. I'm a single father of a seven-year-old daughter Ti'Annah and I have recently become unemployed and I can't get any government or unemployment benefits. I am currently experiencing hardship. And I want to look into my options of getting some renters assistance from the government or a grant At Bakersfield, Ca 93313 My current rent is behind two months, including late fees. Which brings a grand total of $4293. If you could let me know what the next steps are for a single dad to get benefits which seems hard, that would be really appreciated and thank you for your time today.
