Hi,
The Caring Place is a great resource for Georgetown TX. Do they have any financial help or referrals for you too? But there are other programs in Williamson County and the city of Georgetown. As from what we read long term COVID is brutal, and you may be out of work for a while. But find help in Williamson County TX.

My clients have all cancelled and as an Independent contractor I am not eligible for any unemployment
I am 63, have a very low income and have underlying health issues. Severe Asthma is the main issue with the VIRUS.
I will need assistance for apartment rent and utilities. Would I be able to qualify for assistance even though I lost my job as a hairdresser? Am low income, so the Caring Place has helped me a lot with Food.

That is great you are looking out for your friend. The best way to get your local United Way is just to dial 211. As far as other programs that may help your low income friend, look here. She should also try legal aid to sue for unpaid child support and job training, as maybe she can leverage those hair dressing skills into another career.

Hello, my name is Erin. I am writing on behalf of Shauna. Shauna, a hairdresser, has five children who rely solely on her including a 12 month of baby girl. She gets no child support. She works full time as a hairdresser but her income is not much. She was keeping up with rental payments and now it has all caught up. She has called many numbers that help low income people off the 211 sheet and has been told it will be six weeks to get assistance. She will be homeless by then.
Could you please call me to see if we can get her any help? I am in Collier County, and she lives and works in Brevard County. I called my set Vincent DePaul here and he said I would have to call the local number and this email was all I could find. This is a dire emergency. I was told that you guys could connect her with United way.
