Sorry to hear that. A horrible story. Unfortunately gambling is easier to do now than ever and there are more people addicted. Look here for a list of assistance programs by state -maybe some can help you.

After a bad break up with my kids father a year ago after he went into gambling debt I have been struggling to pay the bills already.
My ex was able to help me out a few months ago but now he has even morse gambling problems of his own so he cannot be a resource for me any longer. He basically lost all our and now his money from gabling. I have not yet paid July’s mortgage and I am freaking out. I get SNAP benefits but with 3 growing boys I’m out by the 3 third week of every month. I get help with my heat and gas however I am looking into help with water and electric.
If you have any suggestions on help with my mortgage and or anything else I could benefit from I would greatly appreciate the information.
