Hi,
By Workman’s Compensation at 60%, did you mean FMLA? Or is that come another benefit from your employer. Either way, try FMLA. As the government does have some protections for workers. Also, anyway to talk to the court and get that child support reduced until you get back up to health? Sometimes that can be an option. But learn about the FMLA benefit program. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... leave.html

How to get buy when Workman’s Comp pays only 60%?

I suffered a work related injury in November ’23 and have been on Workman’s Comp from that point forward.
I can only collect 60% of my normal pay and I lived paycheck to paycheck before my injuries. I also have a child support payment that’s $1,100 per month, which Workman’s Comp does NOT cover. I can no longer accept or expect help from family and friends.
My credit cards are maxed out, my car needs repairs, I’m thousands behind in child support, I’m literally drowning in debt. I’m still under a doctor’s care and rehabilitating from surgery. Could you please help me make ends meet when my income is only 60%? Until I can heal and get back to work.
