I am Mary. I have a situation. I have a 2006 Dodge charger on which I bought off my sister and in turn she bought it from her cousin. The cousin she bought and paid for the car through family services here in Winston-Salem NC. I have been trying to get the title transferred to me. Well since there have been 2 lien holders’ ways to work and family services. I am in need of a lien release from ways to work. But they are not here in NC anymore. Is there any way you all can assist me with this? I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

As my current landlord is selling the property we currently live at with my kids. There is an apartment available near us on the other side of the city, we are trying to find help with the deposit if possible and someone to help us pack boxes, give us a uhaul and help with the bills while we move. Or if you can direct us anywhere that may be able to help us. We are trying to avoid going to a shelter with the kids. Thank you for your time.

Since you have no family and 2 kids, and a very limited income/access to resources, it seems like you may want to re-asses your time in Winston Salem. Ask yourself if your situation is sustainable, and be honest. As you go through that process, there are some programs in Forsyth County and the city that may help you with bills - but that is short term only. Last August when we were supposed to be pretended under the eviction moratorium, our landlord found a loop hole by not renewing any of the tenants leaders. We all tried to fight it in court but lost. Therefore I received my first eviction ever in my life.
Since then we have been homeless. We have been living in and out of motels since last September. No one will rent to us because of this unfair eviction. I have deposits and the first three months rent to put down and make 3x the rent cost. But no matter how much money I make of offer to put down, no one still won't rent to us.
I was even approved for the ERAP and help with utility from LIHEAP. But landlords don't care. I need help with my rent and bills. This has taken a toll on my kids and on me. I just want to provide a safe and secure home again for my kids. Even the housing coalition couldn't help me. All of our things are in a storage unit. please can you help us.
