Hi,
That is great you are reaching out for your sister! But of course she will need to apply - not you. While it is late in the season, you and here can still try and find a list of free AC programs in Charlotte NC here.

I’m writing to find information about the above for my sister in Charlotte who is unable to afford a new air conditioning unit, and I’m sure she would be eligible financially as she is exceptionally low income with two children at home.

Can you please provide more information on this program for an AC or HVAC and/or a contact name and # that I can call to understand those benefits?
Thank you so much.

In my experience with getting help, even food or clothes for free from a clothing closet, for my wife or myself being Caucasian have yet to find the help we need. Where can I go to get the stuff my wife and I need?
Umm, an odd message. Actually facts are immigrants do not qualify for help. Please educate yourself to facts and not what some right wing news site like Fox says or lies from Trump. Actual facts are here. READ. Do better. https://www.nilc.org/wp-content/uploads ... 4-04-1.pdf

But for the Charlotte area, obviously (again read) we posted resources in this thread. In addition, try the Charlotte Area Fund. They are a leading charity in the region for free food, clothes and other goods, and the fund is here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tance.html

Hello,
My mother has been living without a bed or clean mattress since last winter and only lives off of social security in Charlotte. She does not have the money or help to stuff from her home when things got wrecked last winter. Please help me find help for her in Charlotte NC. I live in Texas and. Her case worker keeps denying her on help at the welfare office to furniture and food and red cross has no funding. She has been living in her home like that.

Hello Sonya
That is some list of family members and needs. While of course all these programs are limited, there are clothing closets, free services and other programs out there. Maybe they can help you get school items for your kids, clothes for you and Joe Sr. and other items. Find the free Charlotte distribution centers here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... s_and.html

I need help with paying the rent, getting food and the other bills. We thought we would have more luck moving down here and finding jobs. But I guess I was wrong. We are going on 2 months behind on our credit cards that we used to pay for groceries and living expenses. November rent was $2025.00 and December rent is $1425. Our electric, sewer, and water is $430.00. My kids aren't going to have a school shopping season or new clothes either because we can't get jobs. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck, I am not allowed to lift anything over 5 lbs or it could paralyze me. My older kids are trying to find jobs. They have put numerous applications in at several places and no response. Please, Please, Please Help us out and get the stuff we need to live here in Charlotte. I don't know what else to do without losing my mind.
Thank You,
Sonya
