To Whom It May Concern,
I am an RN, I’M searching for resources to help a member that lives in Detroit Mich. This person owns her home outright with her significant other, but they don’t have a furnace in their home. They need one but have no money to pay for it.
We are into the winter months now and I am trying to find resources to help this person get a free heating system. The road blocks she and her significant other are running into is they do not have Home Owners Insurance, they have tried to get home owners insurance, but Insurance companies will not give them insurance because they don’t have a furnace in their home and they can’t get a loan or assistance to replace the furnace because they don’t have home owner’s insurance.
Their home was broken into 2 to 3 years ago and someone stole their furnace and hot water tank. My Member was able to replace the hot water tank but hasn’t been financially able to replace the furnace.
Any guidance or assistance to help her and her significant other would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my name is Jessica. I live in a hotel in Detroit Michigan with my finance that just lost his job. We have paid the rent for a week but I'm in need of help.
We are now breaking; we have little to no food or anything to drink and have no money to pay for it. We have a hot plate and microwave. So, I'm in need of food and not sure if I can get a ride or not to a food pantry or place in the area.
I need winter clothes. I lost 67 pounds. He could use some free winter clothes too. Maybe gloves and hats?
Is there any way to help find him a job in Detroit within the time limit?
I'm scared that if one of us don't get a job this week we will be on the streets. Even though that's going to take an extra week to get a first check so hopefully someone will help if not on the streets.
None of my family will help nor his. I've been on my own since I was 16. He been on his own for 7 years since we been together. He pulls through all the time and I appreciate how much he does and I NEED TO HELP HIM
