Hi Melissa,
A few programs come to mind, in particular weatherization. This is a government benefit that can do some minor home repairs, and maybe propane tanks are covered. But this program normally takes time and has a waiting list, but look into here for details on weatherization. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... _prog.html

Who repairs propane tanks?

My name is Melissa and I am in need of help.
Someone knocked my home propane gas tank over, which is for my heat and cooking. I am located in Warren County Missouri and currently have no heat whatsoever until the propane tank is fixed or replaced.
My gas company charged me 383 to come out and put a tag on tank stating that it is unsafe to use. Then I was quoted by there office for a hog tail fitting. It is $40 foot of gas line, and labor another $800 then for a minimum of 200 gallons of gas another $630.
I have no idea how to get help, and I could use some help to fix the propane tank. I am employed but only get 20 or so hours a week during our slow time, nd no sign of getting more until the spring.
Please advise me on what to do please.
Thanks
