Hello my name is James. Myself, my girlfriend and our three kids are being evicted from our apartment. We went to court and a judgement was passed against us and we need a grant to pay the judgement. As of June 20 we received a court paper stating we have 10 days to pay $2,600 or they are going to forcefully take back the property by any means necessary. We are desperate need of a rent grant and about to be completely homeless with our 3 kids. We don't want to lose our place. Can you please help us??

I am a senior in California living on public assistance. I am in danger of losing my home due to an abusive and unfair judgement on the rental property I live in. I need help to file paperwork and get a grant to pay for the exemption that protects my house. I don't have money for an attorney and that made me an easy target for abuse thru the courts and the landlord. What do I do now? Cheryl

My name is Dorviya. I'm in desperate in of assistance paying a rental judgement and looking for a grant to pay it off. I was ordered to pay $704.16 the past October. My lease ends May 27th and I've been looking for housing for myself and 4 children. When I spoke to a few Rental managers they all told me if the rental judgement shows on my rental history I won't be able to rent from them until I provide documentation showing the Judgement has been satisfied.
I just got let go from my job March 14th and currently looking for employment until I finish the process of joining the Newport News Police Academy starting September 18th. I don't have any available funds right now to pay the judgement off myself. Only funds I have is to pay for April rent. Is there anyway your organization can assist me with a grant for paying my Judgement? Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you.
