I am reaching out today for financial help to pay for school. I am 22 years old and recently moved to Florida to be closer to my family. I moved at the beginning of September and quickly found a job. I currently work at Clermont Radiology. I am going to a non-traditional school to become a nurse anesthetist. I am a freshman in College and have applied for FASFA-school assistance but was denied. This semester I have paid almost $500.00 already out of my pocket.
Moving back to Florida has been very costly and I just recently transferred my car tag and auto insurance which was almost $1,000.00 I feel like I just can't get a break. This semester I am taking 2 more classes so that I can be on track to take the Nursing program August 2019, but this semester is financially draining.
Lake-Sumter State Community College is going to cost me $1,147.00 this semester (which will be the most expensive semester) this year. The $1,147.00 is the total cost for the classes along, this amount does not include books, test codes, etc. I have been trying to save and only have $207.00 saved so far and this huge bill is due October 30, 2019 before 4:00pm. I have been praying so hard and am stressing out every single minute trying to figure out how I will make this. I have prayed, fasted, asked family, called the Z88.3 radio station and left a message for prayers and help, I have called local churches, and no one has reached out to me yet. I have asked my current employer and they do not aid because they are a standalone company. I just feel like I am at the end of the road and just stressing out. I find myself trying to lift myself up though out the day and I am just wearing myself thin. Try a charity or eviction prevention program for short term, emergency help. As far as more longer term support, try to increase your income. As one example, college students can sell their notes for some extra cash. Maybe that, and your job, will help keep you current with bills in the future.
