Good afternoon
My name is Robert, and I live in Texas. My wife and I have received a HUD-VASH veterans housing voucher and have located an apartment complex which we are looking to move into in Port Arthur, TX In order to both move in and to keep our voucher we need to have power turned on.
I've contacted Entergy today and found out that there is a past due balance of 175.97$ in addition to 150$ deposit that is required before power can be established.
I receive veterans’ disability compensation in the amount of 284.93$ and am active with EBT food program for 198$ per month. This is our only income.
If there is an assistance program that may be available to me, please let me know.
We are trying to schedule move in by or before July 1. We have been homeless and rough sleep for months now.
Please advise

You did not post the state, as Entergy covers multiple states. So try this for help as well think it may be Arkansas. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ms_in.html
If not, search the site for your state.

Could you please let me know of anyone that can help me pay my ELECTRIC "Entergy" bill for this month? I'm currently past due $131 ... and on SSI. It is impossible for me to keep my electricity on this month and I will not be buying any Christmas gifts this year as well. Even if I receive help . . . Thank you so much and Happy Holidays.
Sincerely,
P.S. My bill for electric was due on 12/08/2015. Not sure when they will shut off.
