Moving in Illinois but I have a section 8 voucher

I have Section 8. I am moving from Springfield Illinois. I found a unit in DuPage. Although submitting my transfer paperwork before the deadline over a month ago it was not timely completed by the housing authorities. So, I am in DuPage and homeless until May 11th. I am hoping to find some rental assistance.

Ask the agency that issued the section 8 voucher in Illinois for guidance. Some are transferable...some are not. You need to talk to that group to find out what they say about your situation. But in general, they will pay for housing in Springfield as well.
