She is mentally and emotionally disabled. She gets disability and food stamps. Since living in apartments has caused relapses with her mental health, we feel this is our best option.
A neighbor had an old car that we could have. I've been working to make sure it is safe and mechanically sound.
No one has been willing to help her and she needs stability. Therefore, I am hoping you can help her take advantage of a government grant.
I retired from the Army 10 years ago with the rank of sergeant major (E9).

I've incurred tons of debt in the last 5 years because I took a higher up job in my government Agency. I didn't get my raise to start training as I was told I would get nor the per diem I was told I'd get. So, I immediately had to start using the money I set aside for the actual job I knew I would have to drive to. Then I thought I would only have to drive for a year and a half, I’m still driving at least 130 miles round trip daily for work. And I'm required to do training, but I can't have my job pay for the expenses. So, I play for all the supplies.
I've been doing this for actual 4 years. I've now gone in debt well over $40,000. I know a bunch of it is finance charges from the credit cards. I don't know what to do!
