There are some
disability benefits in New Jersey that may cover those housing expenses you have. Are you a veteran, habing PTSD? If so, also look into the various military benefits out there.

I came across you searching for low income housing. I have three children, my youngest is special needs, and I am currently homeless. I received an eviction notice and all of my utilities have been disconnected. We were still living in the home despite not having utilities. A neighbor is giving us a bedroom to sleep in and allows us to shower. This situation is only because she didn't want to see us in a shelter for the holiday.
I do not have section 8. I am not aware of any other programs. If you can please let me know where I would start to apply for housing, I would forever be grateful.
Thank you so much.

I am a single disabled woman. I only receive a small amount of SSD per month. My family has been helping me the expenses of living and also raising my son. Since I receive no child support either even though I have begged Child support enforcement to go after him.
Anyhow I’m to the point that rent keeps going up and my check is not. So December 11th I was about to have to move out of my apartment to where I don't know. And my grandpa and my father got together is purchased a house for $25,000 that day will make any payments on so my son and I have a place to live Even after they are gone Because they worried about our future.
However there are repairs that need to be done before I can even move in. It needs central air and heat. It needs a repair the roof and it has some kitchen issues. And then just some paint and TLC.
I deeply honestly need some financial help with these things. My father has lived in this town his whole life I know some contractors willing to do work for reasonable rate. We just don't have the funds. Please help me and my son. Or direct me in the right area to find the help. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

On SSDI need help with a deposit and first month’s rent. If I could get rent vouchers for 3 years it would save my life. I suffer from chronic pain and extreme anxiety PTSD, borderline personality disorder. I believe good things come to good people and I always make an effort to do whatever I can to help others and will continue to do so in the future.

Often times you can take out some form of loan to rebuild a house. Or apply for a mortgage. There are resources for people with a disability as well. If the business did have an income, and was profitable, then your chances of being approved are much greater as well. So try one of these
loans for the disabled for the cash you need.

My husband and I are in desperate need of home repairs. We are both disabled, me with heart issues and him with heart and lung issues. We live in a mobile home which is paid for and sits on leased property.
We were approved to have our HVAC system replaced almost 2 years ago and our front door. This has been a tremendous help, but our windows are on the verge of falling out. Most of the outside trim/seal is curled and it just breaks off. When the wind blows you can see the curtains move and there are places where water is getting in. We need some help, we tried to get a loan using our home as collateral but our credit is awful and we were denied. Where can we turn for help?

You have not paid for your water in 2-3 years? Shocking that the South Carolina company has not turned off your service. Sounds like you can't afford to live where you are and/or your lifestyle. When someone loses an income (such as due to disability) it is more likely than not that the person needs to make major financial changes in their life. You need to do that to cut back. Until then, try this for
water bill help in South Carolina. No one will ever help pay that amount though that must be due after 2+ years.

Don't know where to turn to. My husband lost his business Tuesday night when the building he rented caught fire. He had just recently started this business 2 months ago. It was a complete loss. Everything he owned was ruined. I would never ask for help but don't know where to turn. I haven't worked due to health issues and he was our soul provider. We have used what little savings on this business. Please keep our family in your prayers.

Yes, that is a lot of bills to soundly hit. But SSD was never intended to provide for all of a disabled persons needs. Did you try a charity clinic in Alabama for the oral surgery, or try to fix the water heater? There are probably many things you could have done first. But also maybe try a
disability assistance program in Alabama for more support.

Disability payments can be stopped by the government at any time. But those are huge monthly payments your mother has, not even including the $249/month loan. But you are also asking for a car (for church?), new heating and AC unit, and more. That is alot to ask for. But she can try, and find how to get advice on reapplying.
Read federal disability terms and conditions.

Yes, the Ticket to Work program (as well as other transportation services for the disabled) may greatly benefit you. There are several you can try, and we have information on all of them. As if you really are struggling that badly on your SSI check, you truly need to increase your income or live with friends/family. So if you want t increase your income, then try the ticket to work services.

I am on Social Security Disability (SSD), and my husband is a school bus driver. Our budget is hand to mouth on a good day - and worse over the summer when he doesn't work his regular hours. Recently, my husband had to have extensive oral procedures - over $4,200 went on a new credit card, and $1,285 went on a second new credit card. Our car died, so we had to be a new (used) one, so we now have a car payment. Our water heater died and flooded our basement and we had to buy a new one ($850). My husband also just had skin cancer removed, and his health insurance has a $2,000 deductible - which means we now have to pay $713 out-of-pocket to the doctor and the pathology lab. We are overwhelmed and discouraged. Is any of this something you folks can help us with? Thanks.

I am in desire need of financial help for Rent and Utilities.
I injured myself in December 2012 while on the job and am now disabled. I fell 7 ft in the air flat on my back. And even thou I am no longer on Worker's Comp and did take a settlement, I am down to nothing in my bank account and will not be able to pay November's rent, or any of my utilities or my phone.
My landlord will NOT work with me in order for me to go to CEO in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He would rather go thru a magistrate and have me evicted no questions asked. He doesn't even care about our financial problems. "If you don't have the money to pay out you go!" He even told me if I went to CEO to get the help he would refuse it. He would rather evict me and get someone who can pay.
My finances and bank account are down to $0.00. I have nothing. And I still can not go back to work due to all my physical disability problems I still have from my fall last year. I am still under Dr's care and will soon be going for more Dr appointments to specialists due to the physical problems I still have that are debilitating issues.
Please, I really need HELP!! I live in Luzerne County near Wilkes-Barre PA.

Can you help us pay our water bill? Is high and we have not paid it in 2 or 3 years. We are barley affording to pay our mortgage. I am the only one working. I have a disabled son. I take care of my husband who had open heart surgery and is on disability but it’s hard. We barely make it to buy food and that's what I do instead of paying rent. I need help with the water so I can start to pay it when it’s all clear and start from the beginning. I can't do it myself.

Good Afternoon,
I am currently trying to survive on a monthly disability check. I rent an apartment and cannot afford my monthly bills such as rent, utilities, gas, and water. The majority of my check is spent on hundreds of dollars worth of medicines, doctor's appointments, and therapy.
My utilities are out of control and I owe personal property tax in which is extremely overdue. I cannot afford the lien on my car nor new tags and registration, therefore I am forced to stay at home.
I plan on utilizing the Ticket to Work program from Social Security so that I can go back to work very soon and pull myself out of this hole. Please let me know if there's any financial help for someone like me. I am living below poverty and often times go hungry in order to feed my dog. I have to support or family, I just need a bit of relief.
Thanks,

I'm So Stressed Out I Can't Sleep sometimes for day's wondering how I'm going to keep a roof over my children head and to feed them without worrying about how I'm going to come Up with More Money for More Groceries. I pray there is some kind of Help. Thank You for your time.

If you only receive $239 per week and were injured, did you file for disability? It seems like your lawyer has not been very helpful. There are also advocates that will provide help to you in filing a claim. They do not charge people anything other than a portion of what they make for you. Learn about the
services from Social Security advocates.

Need of advocacy on several matters by a low income widow on SSDI. Utility bills, village ordinance issues, home repairs and maintenance. Lives independently, homeowner, not housebound. No family or friends nearby capable (or trustworthy) of assisting. Wish to preserve my independence and dignity. Wish to continue contributing by volunteer work, micro-business, etc.

a brittle diabetic on social security disability and my husband has been out of work for eight months. We have two special needs children and have been borrowing from family and using our credit cards in order to pay bills and buy food. We have maxed out our credit cards and do not want to ask family members to lend us anymore money.
We need any help available, to pay our mortgage, utility bills, insurance, or to buy medical supplies and my insulin. Our 16 year old son is not completely toilet trained and required adult good nights and wipes to be adequately cleaned and we are finding it difficult to keep up with his needs as well. Please let us know if there is anything you can do to assist us. It would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently out of work due to an injury. My bills has falling behind and I only receive $239 weekly by workers comp. I do not receive any other assistance so I'm relying on just the weekly compensations.
Unfortunately I'm behind on my rent and I received an eviction to vacate my apartment in a week by the landlord. I had my lawyer on my workers comp case right a letter explaining my situation and I have also notified my landlord of my situation. I can't work because of a shoulder and lower neck to the head injury and it isn't enough I'm still being evicted. I don't know what to do and really need the help. Please if there's any. I live in Bridgeport, CT THANK YOU KINDLY!!!!
