STD (short term disability) denied

Hello, I would like help with my rent. I was just evicted. If I can get help with my last two months rent then I will be fine to pay this months and then on. I got behind because I had colon cancer surgery and I did not get my STD from my job. They denied it! So that is way I'm behind. I can be reached if you need more information. If you did not qualify for STD disability, did you try the
Family Medical Leave Act? this is offered my most (if not all) employers for people who are hurt. In fact, it is government mandated.
