Re: Where to go for rent money from a charity in Pensacola?
Pensacola has about 10 different places that focus on housing and rent assistance. Of course all the funding, like any agency, is limited. But look for the programs here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tance.html

In addition the that other resource for free grocery deals, try pantries, food banks or soup kitchens. As almost all towns (no matter who small or rural) have some type of pantry that gives out free food to people in crisis. Find them here, a list where to get free food.

Re: Wednesday disconnection
Anyone with a disconnection of utilities with days most likely will not have enough time to get help from say "regular" LIHEAP (or their state's equivalent) or a charity. People really need to apply way in advance, before they are close to a shut off. But there is one expedited government ...

Re: Used a payday loan to pay rent
Obviously it is never a good idea to use a payday loan, especially for rent. Or any "daily living" bill. Unless you have 100% certainty you will pay the entire payday loan back within days, such as maybe you are expecting a tax return that will allow you to pay it all back. Otherwise, for ...

Re: Rehabilitation and rehab programs for indigent
Some charities, such as Salvation Army, have free or very low cost adult rehab that combined housing too. But they are limited and often have a long wait list. There are also sliding fee programs and other resources. Or try a social service center. Anyhow, look here for details on rehab programs. ht...

Re: Stuff for from church for the homeless
Hi All, Many (most?) churches help the poor or homeless that live in that parish. Some extend their services to maybe the town, but the programs and resources they have vary widely. Some have clothing closets or food banks for stuff, some give a few dollars for bills, etc. But generally churches rel...

Re: Radio for my hobby
Hello! If your son needs a radio for a job, or to tinker with for skills, that is more likely to be offered as it helps with employment. Try a free furniture bank or clothing closet, or Goodwill too. They may assist as he needs it form work, or try an appliance center. Look here for details on place...

Re: Do free vehicles really exist?
Yes they do. There are of course strict applications for a free vehicle program, they are fairly rare, and the car or truck will be used. Also any vehicle generally needs to be for work reasons, and some programs focus on veterans or other groups. There are services from Goodwill, Working cars for w...

Re: Faced a character assassination on social media
Anyone that is faced with this issue should of course notify the social media company, then a local law enforcement agency, and then, if needed, a free pro-bono legal aid attorney. As they can handle civil cases such as social media bullying, etc. And if the client is low-income, the support is gene...

Hi both messages above, So tragic, and sorry for the loss of your home(s) and possessions. Generally FEMA and your local government should have information on what to doo.
