Catholic Charities in Odessa Texas (332-1387) is helping people pay for their rent. They help people of all faiths and religions and backgrounds. They are seeing an increasing demand in people of all incomes who are seeking housing aid, and they are doing the best they can to provide resources. Most of the rent help provided is short term, but it can help. In addition, they offer other aid such as food assistance, and are looking into starting a job training program.

Assistance with obtaining free eye glasses, funds for paying utilities, prescription medications, school supplies, books and school uniforms. In addition, on a very limited basis Permian Basin Mission Center provides free food, groceries, clothing, and furniture as well as life-skills workshops for people in the Permian Basin Texas region.
Like most community in the US, Odessa is supported by a Salvation Army non-profit. Funding is limited, but they may have some to pay water bills.
