You probably need professional help / counseling from like HUD or a non-profit. Or legal aid too. But find out exactly why this house is being sold and who legally owns it now. If your boyfriend's mom owned it and passed away, seems there may be an estate/probate issue involved, and after living there 23 years I would not just assume you have to be out in two weeks without getting some legal advice first.
