Savannah Georgia deposit and rental help agencies please

My name is Latrine. I live at Savannah, GA 31408. I'm trying to move to an income-based housing community in Savannah, GA, but I need help with the deposit.
Management said my deposit would be $772. I'm not sure why my deposit is that high. The apartment is income-based, and the Housing Authority is also a part of this apartment/housing.
I really need to move from where I'm living now. The roof leaks, and it's leaking through the light in my kitchen. It's full of water. The bathroom leaks. I've had to call the emergency number, and they've come out but never fixed anything.
