Hi,
If you had to leave to to abuse, was a police report filed? Or some documentation, as many the utility company in Georgia (or even your landlord) can work out some type of deal. Or there are also the lawyers that help the low-income in GA, so maybe they can try on your behalf. As it is free legal aid, and ask them about the eviction prevention too.

Regards,
I recently had to leave my home in Norcross, GA because of domestic violence. I am now living with my parents 3 hours south but no longer have my job, so I am unable to pay rent. I have gotten my things out of the house in Norcross but am in need of help with breaking my lease without it turning into a legal eviction process. My name is on all utilities and the lease, so I am responsible for all of the payments. I was on maternity leave when I left with my 2-week-old daughter so I was out of work already.
Thank you for any legal aid resources and help you have to offer.
