Re: SSI income can't fix furnace

First off, I want to say thank you for the Leap payment to my LP gas company. Secondly, I need to ask a question as I am disabled on SSI. Can the Leap payment to them be used to repair or replace a faulty furnace in my kitchen area? I have two heaters for the house and my SSI does not pay for it. One in the living room which heats that room and two other rooms, second one in the Kitchen which heats the kitchen and one other room. The one in the kitchen was Electric and has given up the fight. I mistakenly bought a Natural gas ventless heater which I cannot use because I have LP gas.
The gas company offers an LP heater just about like the Nat gas one but said they cannot use the. leap money to help put it in or pay for it. Is this right? If so, is there any program that can help me get heat in my kitchen, so I don’t have burst water pipes? Thanks for this help with this question.
