Re: Where to get Christmas help in Raleigh Durham?

Not being sure how exactly this works, I have a four-year-old daughter who is autistic and a seventeen-year-old son. I’ve tried getting holiday help from Salvation Army and other local programs in Wake County, where I either missed the date, and it being my first attempt at any help like this, I also waited too long on others and they shut down early due to unexpected numbers of applicants.
Long, long story short, I left an abusive relationship while eight months pregnant with my daughter Emma. I unfortunately had to leave and get help in a program that helps with similar situations. Anyhow, I’ve climbed back into a resemblance of a life for my children, but I am by far in the clear on this path. I provide a home for them, but anything aside from real necessities, like Christmas, I just don’t have additional money for.
I can’t imagine the number of people from Raleigh that reach out to you for help, but I’m truly begging for any direction you can give me. I’ve been turned down at every direction.
Thank you so very much,
