To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Katina. I'm a Virginia Beach resident with a family of four. Within the past 6 months, it's been extremely difficult for my family. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and breast cancer. On March my husband had 3 cardiac arrests and had to have triple bypass surgery. On October 4, just several weeks ago — he had another cardiac arrest, where he had a defibrillator installed in his chest. I've been out of work for the past 3 weeks. I’m in the process of getting home health care for him so I can return to work. Please help us.

We just experienced a death in the family which caused us to receive an eviction notice which led us to eviction court in Virginia Beach.
Our current landlord is not interested in helping us during this time, and is requiring us to pay last month and the current month's rent in order to forego the eviction that is in progress. We have some money, but we are still short.
Before the death of our family, we had never been late with our rent, and if the unfortunate circumstance of our family member's death, we would not be in this situation.

Good morning,
I was directed to reach out regarding rental assistance. I am recently unemployed, in a large part due to a mental illness, and unable to pay my rent on August 1st. I live in the city of Virginia Beach, VA and I was hoping to find some help and/or resources that may assist me given my circumstances. I know once I have time to get counseling I will be OK with my bills in the future. Or I will apply for disability for paying my rent. Either way I just need help for a bit.
