Hello,
My name is Rebecca. I am located in Vero Beach Florida 32962. Indian River County. I am desperate for help with my bills and mostly rent. My job shut down unexpectedly. Very much of a shock to me. I have been there 15 yrs. I am actively searching for work. I keep filing unemployment, but there is some sort of hold on my account. I have appealed against the issue and awaiting a hearing. They say it will not be heard until the 17th. I am going to be evicted if I can't pay rent. I have exhausted all efforts to get help...Churches, Salvation Army, The Up Center, St Vincent De Paul, St Helens...etc. My husband has a mild schizophrenia with Bipolar tendencies. We are trying to get him on SSI/Disability. It's really hard right now for me to keep it together and up with rent, I'm a mess. Please help us. We are struggling so badly. I don't have anyone else to help me. Any consideration will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Amy
Owing $3000 is way behind. While there may be places that can help with some of that, that is a big ask. Did you ask the apartment owner for payment plans or anything? But otherwise, find a general list of places for emergency help in Indian County.

I am writing because I have fallen into a hardship and I need help with my rent. I have contacted agencies in my area but they could not help or they had closed out accounts.
I have been homeless before and this is an area I'm not willing to explore again. If I can just get some help. I owe $3000 to the apartment owner. I thank you in advance.
