My name is Stephanie. My husband has my phone & I've got his. I REALLY need help immediately reimbursing our landlord for the electric due to the fact it's in his name. It was shut off Monday morning & literally just got turned back on. $1,373.69 is what he just paid.
He wants to be reimbursed & for us to get it back in our name. Apparently, he says that we have a balance but that's impossible. In July of 2020, we owed almost $2,000 due to the fact of our apartment having electric heat. It was remodeled 3/4 of the in 2019. The 2 people who installed the electric heat are not HVAC certified & did it wrong. We live in the historic district on Court St & REALLY NEED new windows.
Supposedly since we live in the historical district, we have to have special windows. Well, our landlord's been telling us for almost 3yrs & they'd be installed. As of July 1st, he said all utilities will be out of his name & we're on our own. I do not agree with this decision due to the fact we've been asking & asking to put them in our name & he kept telling us, no it's fine for now just we'll leave it be.
So, we've got just over 2 weeks to come up with the $350 deposit for the water & the above amount he paid today to get our power back on. We've lost some frozen meat, milk, eggs, etc. Then whatever balance he said that DTE told him we supposedly owe when I paid the entire bill in July 2020 as I've stated above. My family really needs your help. We NEVER ask for help. We do not receive food assistance & I'm on Social Security Disability, meaning I've got Medicare & have outrageous co-pays for my MRI & $20 every time I go to physical therapy due to the fact that right now, I've got a torn ACL & torn meniscus. I need to have surgery, but Medicare requires 4 weeks of physical therapy before I can proceed with this surgery. Can you please respond to me as quickly as possible??? I'm always available.
