Hi Debra
You may want to check other places like FEMA. Salvation Army is a charity and any help they give they are not "mandated too". And you also said "you were told"...told by who? Who is they? Sadly so many people in this world give generic, in effect meaningless comments like that.
Anyhow, we are sorry for your hardship, and here is the list of Salvation Army programs you can try in AZ. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... nanci.html

How to get the AZ Salvation Army to help me with bills

Hello,
I am sending this for a few reasons. I have tried to get out from under on my own. When the fire hit Globe AZ I was told there would be funding from the Salvation Army for APS and rent and that I would be contacted. This was told to me down at the old Safeway when they were doing the boxes.
I do not remember the woman's name. She stated she was in charge of the program and took my name and number.
I live out in the Canyon AZ and was evacuated due to the fire.
I also work full time from home for the State of Arizona.
Before the fire (and still now) have a back injury that makes it hard to work. I lost a lot of work due to trying to work from home and not having the right set up. my back was in horrible pain, (still is, I see a doctor and miss a whole day of work due to this) my rent is so far behind that I am needing help from The Salvation Army.
I am back to full time work now but that only covers the current bills, not the past due. I am struggling and they want their money. I had expected help as I had been told.
I know I am behind more than I can get but any help at this point would help keep me from loosing my home. I do not qualify for the low income places here in Globe.
I am 50 years old and can not take off work during 8-5 to go apply for AZ resources from the Salvation Army. I know I will not qualify for. Missing work will NOT help me.
Please. Help.
What do you need in order to help me? how do I get the help from the fire that was promised to me?
Thank you,
Debra
