Hi Debra
You may want to check other places like FEMA. Salvation Army is a charity and any help they give they are not "mandated too". And you also said "you were told"...told by who? Who is they? Sadly so many people in this world give generic, in effect meaningless comments like that.
Anyhow, we are sorry for your hardship, and here is the list of Salvation Army programs you can try in AZ. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... nanci.html

I am sending this for a few reasons. I have tried to get out from under on my own. When the fire hit Globe AZ I was told there would be funding from the Salvation Army for APS and rent and that I would be contacted.
