Charitable donate needed in Pittsburgh for non-cancerous tumor

To Whom this may concern,
My son Jake lives in Pittsburgh PA. Last week he was diagnosed with a non-cancerous tumor on his lower spine. He was told if he does not have removed in two months we will lose the use of bowels and his right leg. The surgery costs $1,000,000. The big problem is Jake does not have insurance. He is a young man who otherwise is in great health so he thought he could get away with it. It is too late for Affordable Care Act / Obamacare. He applied to Medicaid.
I have asked him to reach out to UPMC for charitable contributions perhaps. Also to get a second opinion to see if we can reduce that cost. Any other help you may have here would be so greatly appreciated. He is a good young man and being 29 has a whole life still to live. Thank you.
