Long term COVID

Post by Joanne »

Hello,
My name is Shianti and I'm starting with full disclosure of my Post-Covid Syndrome. At least that's what I'm experiencing – long term COVID.
I'm looking for help with what I consider a long term covid-19 disaster everyone may speak about, but are overlooking. Five years ago I moved in with my grandmother to help take care of her. She is the Matriarch of our 5 generation family, and I'm next in line after her because my mom, her only child, passed away. So, of course I've taken every precaution with her so that she wouldn't get covid. I made sure I went out anytime we needed anything. I was the only one taking her to the Dr. even getting her set up for her appointments on the phone. So, once I did get sick I stayed locked up in my room. But I had to get help for us both and that was my niece because my grandmother had allowed her and her dog to move in the year before. Now my daughter had to move in two months ago with my three grandkids and I'm very concerned.
As you can see we have 6 people in a 2bd/1bth multi-generational household due to Covid-19. My condition has worsened and my Dr. told me that I needed a more stable place, where I could get a live-in health care provider. I have to have surgery because I passed out and tore my rotator cuff, and my memory has also worsened.
My question is could I please get some help to purchase a RV to put into my grandmother's yard next to her house? That being said, I will still be close to her, and I can make sure that no one will try to take advantage of my grandmother. I want to make sure that the others keep her house clean. Of course I could say a lot more about our situation and my long term COVID, but no matter what type of neighborhood we live in, my grandmother is very proud that she owns her home. All I need is help with a small down payment and I will make the payments because I pay rent to my grandmother.
Kindest regards,

Hi Shianti
The government may have some grants, medical care, and even health trials for people with long term COVID. As it is still trying to be understood. But look here for government aid. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tance.html

Hello, my name is Thomas and I'm getting behind on my rent. I caught COVID in 2020 and it turned into long covid. I was a contractor for many years before I got sick and now due to Long COVID I get exhausted just washing the dishes. I get dizzy often and my balance is erratic, I get confused often and disorientated. I don't have strength to pick up a 20lb bag.
This disease has disabled my body, I physically can't do what I've been doing my whole life. I see doctors and specialists constantly and have gone through a multitude of tests. My pulmonologist recently told me the long COVID effects in my lungs may be permanent. This disease has turned my life upside down I went from working 65 hours on a six day work week to nothing at all. It has been a psychological torture as well as the physical ailments. I enjoyed working hard and being physically fit, I'm like a shell of who I used to be. I realized I was going to have to change my career so I applied with an agency here in Wilmington and I had to go back through a bunch of tests just for them to be eligible and they're going to pay for my online schooling to become a blockchain developer and I can work at home off my laptop. I enjoy coding/programming and I'll be working which psychologically will be enormous. I didn't 6 years in the Army so I've always done for and protected people and hate asking for help but I need too.
I need help paying my rent so I can get through this online 24 week course that's starts March 17th. Then there's 6 week certification course. After that I'll find work. I've picked a career that not only pays well but I can do it from home and Blockchain positions are highly needed. The Haralson center here in Wilmington told me last week they would pay $300 towards my $550 a month rent obligation. Please let me know if you can help out I don't know where else to turn. Thank you. Sincerely,
Thomas

Hello my name is Dwayne. I have a family of 5. Myself and my fiancé we were living in a homeless shelter for the past 3 years. Covid-19 came as we became sick and got long term COVID. FINALLY we have section 8 housing, and finally living together. We unfortunately have never had a home before and are still trying to put our financial affairs in order.
Our kids are in need of new clothes, school supplies, body soap, gloves for the cold, beanies to protect their head, face and neck when having to take the train to school. As well as other child based items that can help with growth and motor skills. As parents we give our kids the up most love, respect and confidence to be their best. It's just unfortunately life has delt us some character defining moments dealing with long term COVID and we believe in good karma. We teach our kids the value of helping others and giving without expecting anything in return.
I just wanted to ask if there's any way, I can have my family nominated to receive help. Our kids have had a really tough past few years in the shelter with us and they are true angels. I'm doing my best to provide for them. Clothes on their backs and maybe toys, or books and learning things or all sorts are all very much needed. Also my kids love to eat healthy, and work out, exercise, and go hiking. As a low income family we are cal-works recipients and what little money we do receive goes to laundry, food, and medicine, and cleaning products. We're unable to buy anything for our kids to show them how much we appreciate them for trusting us to keep them safe in such hard and confusing times dealing with COVID and hardships.
We're in a new environment. Families are happy all around us. Families are wealthy around us. But not us. Me and my fiance Shat he would love to see our son's amazing souls light up with joy from anyone who can help create a warm happy, loving environment here at our home. We would love a chance to allow other to open their hearts and share love however they can to another family in need. We are open to anything. Gift cards, visits, words of encouragement, anything is welcomed!

There are government programs that that give free money, including to people as they recover from COVID (including long term COVID). Look into them among all the other charities, programs, and resources we have listed. Learn more on free government money and how to get it here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... money.html
