I am currently in need of help paying for my rent on a housing unit, if I can find one that takes people that left prison. My parole officer is through the City of Burleson Texas and my lawyer is legal aid. I'm unemployed have 2 kids & receive food stamps already. Don't start my new job, which is under the table as no one wants a felon, until next week. 2 months behind on rent and car payment as well. Please if you could send me some information on how to get help as soon as possible I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Not sure what a "*" offender is, but there are programs for ex-felons, prisoners, and people that have left jail. As some non-profits want ex-prisoners to gain stability, and look here for
funds for people that have left prison.

Hello,
I have talked with just about every organization between Collier county and Lee County. There is no help, no resources for someone who has a record of a * offender.
I have a registered * offender with a TBRA section 8 voucher that will pay his rent for 1 year so he can establish into society and he is trying to do good for himself. * offense happened 1x in 1996 - no subsequent offenses.
Please tell me where he can live in Naples, FL, he has the money for it in the section 8 voucher but no one will take * offenders. He already has all his medical, RX, mental health established here, he just needs housing.
Please help.
