Social worker seeking help

I am a social worker for the Central Texas VA Health Administration. I suffered a traumatic injury to my right hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder on 2/3/15. I went back to work to avoid the loss of the only source of income for my family.
On 3/17/16, my left hand stopped working and began to cramp around the object I was holding. Now I am without the use of either of my hands and I am awaiting my first workers' compensation payment. Our only vehicle was repossessed 2 weeks ago. My rent, which is $475 per month, has not been paid for the month of March or April. My electricity bill is $81, and it is past due as well.
I was approved for emergency SNAP benefits, but I literally do not have a penny to my name. The claims for both my right and left upper appendages has been approved, but it will be a few more weeks before I receive my first payment. I will be homeless by then without assistance.
