They should be able to refer you to rent programs, including free legal counseling, the federal government Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (which can prevent an eviction) and other resources.

We need to catch up on rent. We live in Raleigh NC. Fell behind. Doing better now. But can't catch up. What do we do? We have a summons to go to court for past fue amount. Thanks!
