Summons for court/need rent in Raleigh NC

We need to catch up on rent. We live in Raleigh NC. Fell behind. Doing better now. But can't catch up. What do we do? We have a summons to go to court for past fue amount. Thanks!

Try the Wake County community action agency. The information is Capital Community Action, P.O. Box 40757, Raleigh, NC 27629, (919) 790-8667. They should be able to refer you to rent programs, including free legal counseling, the federal government Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (which can prevent an eviction) and other resources.
