I am disabled in South Carolina and need guidance
I am a disabled low income person. I live alone in South Carolina. I am having serious money problems and need help. I rent an apartment in a private home. I would like to get into a subsidized apartment complex. I have COPD so it makes it hard for me to get around. I've fallen behind on my bills because I depend on just my monthly SSI check. I need help and direction as to what and where I can go for help.

Re: I am disabled in South Carolina and need guidance
Just because you are disabled doesn't mean you can't work. The fact is that SSI does not pay a lot in South Carolina or anywhere. So it is what it is and there is no other way to increase your income other than getting a job, or cutting back on expenses. But anyhow we do have agencies to try in the state, and read South Carolina disability programs.
