I have a child support obligation of $850 a month even though I lost my job, the obligation is still based on income that I no longer earn. I lost the job that I have just started a few weeks ago because my car got repossessed due to the payment not being made on a timely basis as the child support enforcement agency automatically garnishes 65% of the new income since I could no longer pay the full amount. My wife works as a part time teacher and we have two daughters under the age of two. We are looking for any help for utility or bills. Best Regards,

There may be some state laws that have to do with child support and whether a parent can apply for LIHEAP. If you are working as a teacher, can't she go full time? And you stay home with the two children? That additional income will allow you to pay your utility bills, but you can also explroe state rules on disconnections. Read more.
