Hi, I live in Maricopa County, Glendale, AZ 85302. I've been on SSDI
since 2005 for mental disability. I receive $1090 per month. I just
moved into an apartment.
I was living with my sister for a month then she
kicked me out. I had to move without sufficient notice. I had to use
my SSDI check for move-in, utility, administrative, mover's, some food
and I'm left broke. I still haven’t moved all my belongings because no
money. I would have wanted to find subsidized housing.
I need rental assistance, move-in deposits, holding fee's, utility deposits.
Temporary cash help, food, gas voucher for the mover's, dental help,
cell phone/home phone and help getting a vehicle to doctor appointments,
groceries, errands. I currently walk or take the city bus but my
arthritic hips have gotten so painful I'm very limited for walking
even a short distance. I've always worked all my life never depending
on a man or other sources and now I need help. I receive food stamps.
$15.00 month. PLEASE HELP.

Is there anything you don't need? Disability in Arizona (or anywhere) was never intended to pay every single bill a family has. Maybe you have another family member you can live with. Also, if you were on a lease with your sister, it is illegal for her to kick you out without notice. But try some of these resources, and find Arizona disability assistance programs.

Greetings, I have found very few resources available for the Glendale Arizona area for those on SSDI. I have no car and no resource to transportation due to my cervical cord injury. We have no hygiene such as toilet paper, clothing has holes and worn. I own 1 pair of shoes. I have children in the home, and have applied for SSI 2 YEARS AGO nothing still. I receive no Child support even though it was court ordered.
My husband abandoned me and my two daughters shortly after I was injured and went on disability. I have tried every resource I know of and most are for Mesa Phoenix. Thank you for your time and consideration. We are truly in need and this is difficult for me to reach out and ask but for my child's sake I will do ALL that I can, they are my world.

Do the places in Mesa that you tried have other resources for Maricopa County, and your town of Glendale? Also, so your husband for back child support. But there are many programs in the region, and they are listed here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... e_pro.html

I am a single mother of two boy’s ages 4 and 6. I receive SSI of about $730 a month. I am trying to get us into an apartment and my 6 year old is about to start first grade at Academy del Sol in Tucson, AZ. They require him to have a uniform with a shirt embroidered with their logo. I am trying to find help in at least giving him one complete uniform so that way I am able to afford to get us into an apartment. I have applied for section 8 and HUD.
