Single people will often be down on the list. Can you try some family in Massachusetts? Maybe a friend to live with while you save up your money? Also, note that housing subsidies are very hard to get and can take years to move up a waiting list. But you can try, and find community action agencies in Massachusetts.

Hello I have tried every resource in Springfield Massachusetts, but they only help people with children. I'm on the verge of being homeless. I lost my job almost 4 years ago and haven't been able to get back on my feet since. There are no community action programs for single people in financial needs. or even get subsidy housing so my rent can be cheaper. I pay full rent and electricity. I can't afford it anymore.
