My gas meter was broke when I moved into the house. I rent and I was unaware. One day the gas company came and replaced it and charged me what they believed would have been the 3 months prior for that service. My bill ended up being over $700. Unable to pay the bill, I let my gas be shut off. That was several months ago. I heat with gas and with the cold weather now coming, I need to use my furnace but cant afford to pay off that old bill. Who can help me pay it and get my heat back on? Thanks,
